Did you know that sea cucumbers has the weirdest defense mechanism among all sea creatures? If ther get threatened, they literally stick out their intestines out of their anus to their attacker. Once the enemy gets in contact with it, they might die because the sea cucumber’s intestines are poisonous, containing holothurin, a highly toxic chemical. Its body contract allowing its intestines to squeeze out but the process never affected by this disgusting self defense. Their organs usually returns to its normal state after six weeks. it might sound quick but it’s totally disgusting.
