Did you know that there’s a human Statue of Liberty? This human
Statue of Liberty is composed of 18,000 soldiers that stood up in the afternoon
of August 22, 1918. These soldiers came from US Army 163rd Depo
Brigade. The picture was taken from a 12 meter tower specially constructed for
the event. The soldiers were carefully assembled to the ground at exactly 1:00
PM, all of them wearing black, only few wore white for the outline of the
statue. Because of the heat reaching 40 degrees Celsius, 12 out of 18,000
soldiers fainted.
